This pump kit is designed for direct injection engine builds making more than 500 hp with flex fuel or 550 hp with high octane race fuel. Up to those power levels the stock in tank pump is adequate to supply the direct injection fuel pump. Check with datalogging. If your DIFP (direct injection fuel pressure) is dropping you need a pump upgrade.
